“ Cancer with the highest cure rate in modern medicine“
Many people will feel their hearts sink when they hear the word “cancer.” However, there is also hopeful news. Did you know that thanks to the advancement of modern medicine, there are cancers that have a very high cure rate? Today, I will introduce three types of cancer that have a high possibility of being cured, and I will also talk about actual cases of being cured.
1. Thyroid cancer – Survival rate of over 98% if detected early
Thyroid cancer is often called a ‘good cancer’. The reason is because it has a high cure rate. It occurs especially often in women, but if detected early, the survival rate is almost 100%. If you just take hormone medication after surgery, there will be no major inconveniences in your daily life.
Actual case: Ms. Kim, a woman in her early 40s, was diagnosed with early-stage thyroid cancer after a detailed examination after discovering a small lump during a health checkup. She underwent surgery right away and was discharged from the hospital after a week. She now works without any problems and only gets regular checkups every year.
2. Testicular cancer – Common in young men, but has a cure rate of over 95%
Testicular cancer occurs mostly in men in their 20s to 40s, but surprisingly, the cure rate after chemotherapy or surgery is very high. If detected early, it can be cured in over 95% of cases.
Real Case: Famous American actor Lance Armstrong was also diagnosed with testicular cancer, but he recovered after chemotherapy and surgery, and later won the Tour de France. His case gives hope to many men.
3. Basal Cell Carcinoma (a type of skin cancer) – Survival rate is almost 100%, even if there is recurrence
Basal cell carcinoma is a type of cancer that occurs on the skin. It has almost no risk of metastasis and is easy to treat. It can be easily removed with laser, cryotherapy, or surgery, resulting in a near-complete recovery.
Real Case: Mr. Lee, a man in his 60s, visited a dermatologist because a small spot appeared on his face and was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma. After the surgery, there was almost no scar left, and he has been healthy for 5 years without recurrence.
In conclusions
Of course, any cancer can be scary and frightening, but if it is detected early and treated properly, cancer is a disease that can be overcome. Don’t delay regular checkups, and if you have any abnormal symptoms, be sure to visit a hospital. Your health is more important than anything else!
